Mailisimo In development · Phase 3B

A personal layer over the email you already have

Your mailbox never answers the one question that matters.

Mailisimo is not an email provider. It gives you no new address and stores no mailbox on anyone’s servers. You connect the accounts you already own — and it organises them around what actually needs your attention.

Honest status: Mailisimo is being built in the open and is not released yet. Accounts connect; the mailbox itself lands in Phase 3D. Nothing on this page describes a feature that ships today unless it says so.

The mailbox is infrastructure. The focus layer is the product.

Traditional clients present a mailbox: inbox, folders, labels, unread counts. Mailisimo presents a personal focus layer on top of it — who is waiting for a reply, what you have forgotten to answer, which of your people have written, what is due, arriving, departing or booked this week.

The full traditional mailbox stays exactly one tap away, for when you genuinely need it.

What it is built around

Eight commitments that decide every argument.

If a change makes one of these weaker, it is the wrong change. That rule is written into the repository, and it is the reason this will not quietly turn into another mail client.

01

Personal Home

The first screen is a briefing, not an inbox. You open the app and read what happened, not what arrived.

02

People First

Correspondence is browsable by person, not only by folder. A conversation with someone is one thread of a life, not scattered rows.

03

Needs Reply

Surfaces what you have forgotten to answer — the quiet failure mode of every mailbox ever designed.

04

Waiting for Response

Tracks the mail you sent that nobody has answered, so chasing is a glance rather than an archaeology dig.

05

Personal Focus

Newsletters and promotions stay out of the personal view. They are not deleted, not hidden — just not mistaken for correspondence.

06

Action Extraction

Appointments, deliveries, travel and bills are lifted out of message bodies, so the commitment survives without the email.

07

Privacy

Mail flows provider ↔ device. Our servers are not in the path — not for reading, sending, sorting or searching.

08

Optional AI

Useful when you enable it, and the app is fully functional with it off. That second half is the part everyone skips.

Privacy

Your email stays between you and your provider.

Mailisimo is software on your phone. It is not a service that reads your mail. There is no step in reading, sending, organising, classifying, snoozing, searching or extracting information from mail that touches infrastructure we operate.

Every row is opt-in, individually revocable, and declining all of them leaves a fully functional email client rather than a crippled one. That last property is the test of whether consent is real.
